Since I bought this trailer last year it has had a complete overhaul including the following:
Complete new floor, potentially the strongest floor of any trailer ever sold it is fully re-boarded throughout with stained hardwood floor boarding which in itself is strong enough to hold 2 full size horses with ease, but on top of that there is a layer of brand new treated marine ply and thick rubber matting. Reasoning for this is I was planning on keeping the trailer for myself to use and like most horse owners my horses safety is top priority, so more is better as far as I am concerned!
• The entire chassis was rubbed down (painstakingly by me, by hand!) and re-painted in a protective paint to prevent rust/damage
Ramp was taken off and new back bar welded on as there was some wear, then ramp re-attached, so very strong.
• The brakes have been fully re-furbished
• 4 new tyres, a new bearing on one wheel which required it
• Ramp strengthened with marine ply and new wooden grips
• Completely re-painted both inside and out
• New handle on jockey door
• New mud guards
• New prop legs
Original breast bar is fine for use so haven’t changed that, the only thing left to do is fit internal divider wall.
This trailer is NOT a new trailer, so has all the usual dints and knocks that you would expect for a trailer of its age, however it has been refurbished as a keeper so no expense spared, the floor really is second to none for safety and the trailer looks very tidy with its recent new paint job.
